The Rose Buds Mission The Rose City Rose Buds is an organization providing opportunities for personal growth and development of budding female youth athletes in our community. By teaching the exciting sport of Jr. Roller Derby we strive to encourage teamwork, confidence, sportswomanship and fun amongst young women.
We teach and develop skating skills, game strategy, teamwork and sportswomanship in a supervised, competitive league structure.
We pride ourselves on being active members of our community through our volunteer and fundraising efforts. Dues are charged to help defray costs.
Fundraising is conducted to ensure that all interested teens, regardless of their financial resources or athletic ability, are eligible to participate.

Practices: Practices are held on Sunday 3-5pm, Tuesday 4-6pm, and Thursday 4-6pm in the Rose City Rollers practice hangar.
We have an open invitation for girls ages 12-17 who want to learn the fun and rewarding sport of Roller Derby!
Come to our hangar at Oaks Park on Sunday's from 2-3 to learn basic skating and derby skills. You must bring your own skates and safety gear and a parent or legal guardian to sign a permission waiver. Contact Tini@rosecityrollers.com for additional information.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Insurance for each skater costing $25/year
- Safety gear: helmet, mouth guard, knee, elbow, wrist pads*
- Skates*
- $10/month dues for the use of facilities and resource
- Transportation to the practices
- Potential cost of travel if Rose Buds are invited to other cities (Seattle or Tacoma for example)
*Limited scholarships may be available to skaters demonstrating financial need and RCR will donate used gear.
