<3 for HR and GNR?

Maybe it's happened before and I've not had the opportunity to see it, but it was quite nifty watching the announcing of the teams done in pairs of HR + GNR. I also loved how warm and fuzzy the bout felt... as in when the whistles were done blowing and play was done, it was neat to watch jammers hug or players wish the next group luck.

Special shout out and thanks to Heidi for taking the time to let me get a pic of her with my mother who was at her first bout ever. I promise that I will force her to use it as a Facebook profile pic, but that it won't stay up forever. (:

It has been too long since I've been able to make a bout. Glad I got to catch HR and GNR tonight!

Oh man. HRMF loooooves GnR! Didn't you know? Not only do we share Mondays as our practice night, but the two teams also joined forces for the Rookie Bout in December as the Rolling Stoners.

I personally love the GnR because they're fun and classy, and they pull off animal print like it's no big deal. Amazing!

Did not realize it was tru-luff, but have noticed the friendliness. Most so that last bout. I have clearly not had the opportunity to watch as much derby lately as I'd like to!

And absolutely right about the animal print. First bout for two people I brought with me... and they were both instantly in love with hot pink zebra stripes... I did not mention the full leopard suits. Would've been too much to handle. (:

It's true, GNR and HR are BFFs.

Generally speaking though, there's camaraderie within the league as a whole becasue we all make it happen together. It takes every single team and individual to make RCR the great organization it is.

Big love to Rita Manual for choreographing the intro on the fly, and lots of love to all the gals that made it look so easy and fun. I love special intros, and this one was super precious!

I couldn't think of a classier bunch of ladies to have to share monday night practice with. I usually skip the intro when rewatching bouts, but I love every minute of the irish jig inrto!
