RCR opens the new year with a BANG! - Season Opener
Saturday, January 15th 5:45pm(doors at 5pm) @
Memorial Coliseum
Don't miss the 2011 Rose City Rollers Home Team season opener!! All four home teams will face off in
half-length bouts to determine the season's starting ranks. This scramble will be held at Portland's
Memorial Coliseum, the RCR debut at the fabulous Rose Quarter venue.
Doors open at 5:00pm, event starts at 5:45pm.

The Memorial Coliseum is centrally located and easily accessible by public trans (Rose Quarter TC MAX station). This
indoor arena features a traditional coliseum set up with chaired seating for both Rockstar and VIP ticket holders,
and stadium seating for general admission.
Parking is 13 bucks - so park off-site or take transit!

RCR Night Out with the Portland Trail Blazers
Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the
Rose Garden Arena
Attention derby fans! Join the Rose City Rollers on January 11th to watch the Portland Trailblazers
take on the New York Knicks! Bring your friends and family and hang out with your favorite skaters in
RCR's reserved section.
This is a FANTASTIC night for derby awareness:
- We'll have RCR on skates promoting our organization, and handing out fliers for our upcoming season (let's fill up the Coliseum for our season opener!)
- At halftime, they'll announce us over the loudspeaker and shoot RCR t-shirts out of the air cannon!
- We will have a table on the concourse showing bout footage
The game begins at 7pm at the Rose Garden Arena.

Heartless Heathers vs TBD - Scrimmage Fundraiser
Friday, January 28th 8pm @ Oaks Park Hangar
The Heathers are hosting a Friday night scrimmage fundraiser. For just eight bucks at the door,
the Heathers get a portion of ticket sales and you get some thrilling derby action. The cool
part is that the teams are able to field their entire roster of skaters, so it's a unique chance for you to
watch the whole team play. Check back here for updates.

RCR Rosebuds vs. the Kitsap Derby Brats! - Come watch the future of roller derby!
Sunday, January 30th 3pm(doors at 2pm) @ Oaks Park Hangar
Come check out Rose City Rollers' junior roller derby team,
the RoseBuds as they take on the Kitsap Derby Brats of
Port Orchard, WA in an informal scrimmage.
Doors open at 2pm, bout starts at 3pm at the Hangar at Oaks Amusement Park.
Come out and and support our younger derby stars for a small $5 donation at the door!
The RCR junior roller derby league, the Rosebuds, are the largest junior derby team in the world! The 'Buds now
have fifty junior high and high school age derby girls. That's a lot of skaters.
Like RCR, the Rosebuds now have four home teams:
- The Death Scar Derby Dolls
- The Rainbow Bites
- The Undead Avengers
- The Little Red Riveters
The Rosebuds (rockin' orange and purple this season) are the junior travel team. The newest junior skaters are
the Seedlings, the 'Buds Fresh Meat team. Come out and watch these talented girls play!

Western Regional Tournament
Sept 23-25 at the Memorial Coliseum!!! The weekend will feature the top 10 teams of the
Western Region, with the top 3 teams advancing to the WFTDA Championships.

Eight New Draftees
In December, eight new skaters were drafted to the Rose City Rollers home teams!
- The Break Neck Betties added Scald Eagle and Giv'er No Quarter.
- The Guns and Rollers welcomed Mora Manipulator, Roller Eclipse, and Slaughtra to The Jungle.
- The Heartless Heathers drafted Mercy and Bump'R Stick'R. Mercy is a transfer from Pacfic Roller Derby.
- And last, but certainly not least, the High Rollers called up Rita Manual.
Congratulations ladies! We'll look forward to seeing you "rip it" this season.

2011 WOJ Derby Workshop Series - What a Line-Up!
Multiple dates
Portland's Wheels of Justice are
hosting 6
different boot camps
January through June. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from these amazing skaters. Space is limited to
20 per camp so contact Scratcher In The Eye asap to register.
- Each workshops are 2 hours long and cost just $20.00 each.
- Purchase an all workshop pass for ONLY $100.00 - This price gets you one workshop for FREE!
- 2 workshops will be held on each day - one from 3pm - 5pm for Fresh Meat and more beginner skaters. The other from 5pm -7pm for rostered home team skaters.
- Skaters from out-of-town are also encouraged to come.

The YWCA of Greater Portland boasts a rich heritage of service and women's empowerment in our
community. Through our Yolanda House domestic violence shelter, we partner with survivors to achieve
security, self-sufficiency, and a renewed sense of hope. We continually work to help end domestic
violence through personal advocacy and education. As part of the Domestic Violence community, we
are saving lives and supporting women as they reclaim their dignity and freedom.
