Oh, my, my! Oh, hell yes! Time to put on that party dress! Or, new uniform, as the case may be. It's officially 2010 and Season 5 of the Rose City Rollers is upon us. Make sure to hunt down your favorite rollergirl to snag tickets for the season opener at the Portland Expo Center on January 16.

A lot of changes have been a-brewing over the off-season this summer and fall. We've had many exciting new draftees, and several beloved players have retired. It's gonna be a crapshoot this season, and you'd better be there to find out which of our four home teams - the Breakneck Betties, Guns 'N Rollers, Heartless Heathers or High Rollers - comes out on top. Don't miss the beginning of 2010 with the Rose City Rollers!

Brutal Beauty Release

Saturday, Jan. 9th 7pm at Hollywood Theater

Don't miss the world premiere of Chip Mabry's documentary following the Rose City Roller's travel team, the Wheels of Justice. Brutal Beauty: The Story of the Rose City Rollers asks why the revival of the 1970's sport has become a staple in Portland. The film is being shown for one night at the Hollywood Theatre for $10 at 4122 NE Sandy Blvd. Find out more information and buy tickets here. As an added bonus, fans will be able to purchase Rose City Rollers season tickets at the Brutal Beauty afterparty, held at the Bossanova Ballroom.

Season 5 Opener

Saturday, Jan. 16th 6pm at Expo Center

Season 5 Opener

See all four of Portland's home teams square off in a mini-tournament to kick off the 2010 season. Round one: High Rollers vs. Guns N Rollers, Break Neck Betties vs. Heartless Heathers. Winners of the first round will play for first place seeding. Each match-up will last a single period (30 minutes) and you'll see 4 matches total! Click for Tickets!

Wild West Showdown in Kitsap County, WA

Fri. - Sun., Feb. 26th-28th 6pm at Kitsap County Fairgrounds

The Wheels of Justice are traveling to Bremerton, WA to participate in the Wild West Showdown 2010. This will be the first opportunity to rank in the 2010 season! Twenty four WFTDA leagues will be participating in this derby-filled weekend including last year's National stars, the Oly Rollers. Tickets are only $55 for the whole weekend! Take a trip to root for Rose City!

Community Involvement


Rose City Rollers has selected Dove Lewis, a 24 hour non-profit emergency and ICU animal hospital, as their first quarter charity.

105.9 The Brew's Harley Hump Day Giveaway at Latus

Saturday, Jan. 9th 7pm in Gladstone, OR

Every Wednesday during October, November and December was a Harley Hump Day where 105.9 The Brew gave six listeners a key to qualify them to win a Harley Davidson Sportster 1200C. On January 9th, these lucky listeners will be invited to the Hump Day Giveaway to try their keys in two motorcycles for the win. Food and other giveaways will be had at the Team Latus Grand Prize Finale Party, and the Rose City Rollers will be there to cheer you on! The seventy people who don't win a motorcycle WILL win a Team Latus Motors/105.9 The Brew Prize Pack! More information here.

WFTDA Logo About Rose City Rollers

The Rose City Rollers are women of attitude, athleticism and passion playing a hard-hitting sport of speed and skill. They were pioneers in the rebirth of roller derby and continue to foster its growth.

Their goals are to serve their community by empowering women, providing entertainment for their fans and supporting charitable causes. They are a 501c3 non-profit formed in 2004, and a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association.
