I suppose a lot has happened in the Rose City Rollers since the last time I checked in. If you’re not keeping up on the fan forum, or the various fan blogs, here’s a quick update of who’s come and who’s gone in the meantime.
Shiny new bright skaters: Awnry O’Hulligan joined GNR, and the Heathers drafted Teqkill’ya, White Flight, Shame Girl, and Uff-Da. Teqkill’ya came back from retirement, and White Flight was a free agent.
Shame Girl jams for the Heartbreakers on December 4th
Recent departures: GNR lost Cher the Pain, Axl Blows, and Knocker Brown to retirement. The Heathers are losing Viagrra Falls, and the skater formerly known as Mick U Cry is now skating for the Wheels of Justice only as Mick Swagger. Rhea Derange is also going travel team only, and Rose the Ripper said goodbye.
The High Rollers have been standing pat since September.
Big changes are afoot this week as the Fresh Meat draft is coming up on Thursday. As the new travel team lineups were announced on Sunday, several skaters are expected to start playing travel team only. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Look for a blog post here in the very near future to explain just that.
Okay, just to save you a click, I’ll list the new travel team lineups here. This year, we will have 20 rostered skaters for the Wheels of Justice, and 10 rostered skaters for the Axles of Annhilation. Skaters who are on both lists will be playing with the Axles of Annhilation for more floor time and bouting experience.
